We know as well as anyone that your smile is one of the most noticeable and memorable features of your face. That is why the whole team at the practice work hard to provide you and other patients with the very best dental care.
Our fantastic nursing team are all experienced and will help to make your visits as comfortable as possible. Vicki, Sharon and Erin make up our Front Desk Team. They are very dedicated, friendly and enthusiastic and are always more than happy to help with any queries you may have about the practice.

Stuart Banks
Principal Dental Surgeon

Stuart graduated from Leeds University Dental School and spent time working in Yorkshire before moving to Edinburgh. Stuart joined the practice in 2009 and became Practice Principal in 2011.
Stuart is a very calm practitioner who brings reassurance and confidence to his patients. He treats several generations of many of the families he looks after. Stuart is also an Invisalign provider and enjoys helping patients achieve a smile that they love. In addition to his role in the practice, Stuart is a Dental Practice Inspector with Lothian Healthboard. Outside of work Stuart can be found outdoors with his family; cycling, golf, tennis and hill walking all feature.
Michaela Laverty
Associate Dental Surgeon

Michaela graduated from the University of Dundee in 2015. She spent a few years working in the north of Scotland, before taking some time overseas to travel and practice dentistry in New Zealand. She returned to Scotland and is happily settled in Edinburgh. Michaela joined the practice in 2021, and strives to make patients feel comfortable and at ease while delivering high quality dentistry. Michaela brings with her a facial aesthetics qualification so if you are thinking about anti wrinkle injections then please chat to her or her treatment co-ordinator, Vicki. Outside of work Michaela is kept busy with her beautiful little girl and enjoys travelling as a family.
Louisa Henry

Louisa graduated from the University of Edinburgh and spent time working in the Scottish Borders before returning to work in Edinburgh. Louisa joined the team in 2015 and works hard to deliver excellent care to every patient. Louisa will be happy to chat to you about your oral care routine and advise you where required. Outside of work Louisa is running around after her toddler and enjoys being out and about as a family with their lovely dog. She also bakes the best brownies!
Lisa Banks
Business Manager

Lisa joined the practice in 2011 providing dental hygiene care to our patients. She is keen to help you look after your mouth in the best way possible and will take the time to work with you to find the easiest way to do this. Lisa is also our Business Manager and runs things behind the scenes. Outside of work you will find Lisa out running, sea swimming at Portobello or spending time with Stuart and her 2 boys.
